Due a recent resolution from Costarrican Immigration Offices, there is a better and simplest chance to obtain an immigration status as Investor in Costa Rica.-

Before this new resolution, the investment should be considered “good for Costa Rica”  or with national impact.

From now, is just needed to invest or have investments for $200.000 in Costa Rica; lots or houses, properties, stocks, cds, etc, doesn’t matter if those are inscribed under your personal name, or under a corporation.-

Another good benefit is that this status grant the right to the foreigner to work in Costa Rica, in your own business.

This is a good change for those who are in Costa Rica as “eternal tourist” to get a legal status.

Los trabajadores que reciben un salario bruto mensual menor a los ¢619.000 no pagarán impuesto sobre la renta, de conformidad con el nuevo ajuste correspondiente al periodo fiscal 2010 y que entro a regir a partir del 1° de octubre de 2009.

Así por ejemplo, al salario bruto de un trabajador que para el periodo fiscal 2009 devengaba la suma de ¢600.000 se aplicaba un tributo del 10%. Con la actualización vigente esta exento de dicho pago, representando para el trabajador un ahorro de ¢1.400 mensual. (more…)
